Celtics Drop Out of Trade Talks
As of 11:20AM Eastern time, the Boston Celtics have dropped out of trade talks that would bring in Jermaine O’neal and send out their 5th overall pick as well as Al Jefferson to the Wolves. The four team trade is dependent on Boston sending their package to the Twolves who are looking to ship K.G. to the Lakers. However, Danny Ainge has never been a fan of Jermaine O’neal’s and is said to not be interested in acquiring the All-Star forward.
Garnett is said to be very interested in going to the Lakers to play alongside his friend and superstar Kobe Bryant, especially now that the talks to send him to Phoenix have all but died. Look for the Twolves and Lakers to try and get another team involved if Boston decides to cut ties completely from the trade.
